My Baby is 11 Months Old!

Where has the time gone?  I can't believe my sweet little baby Avery is going to be a 1 year old next month! She still seems like such a baby to me (in the best way possible)....and I love it and it makes me a little sad that she's growing up!

  • This little crazy is still not crawling!  You can tell she's capable, but she can usually butt scoot her way to anything she needs or get up on her knees and reeeeeach as far as she can to get whatever she needs.  I'm not complaining though...she's going to be a terror when she learns how!
  • Gives the best hugs, especially first thing in the morning.  She puts both arms around your neck and just squeezes!
  • Has learned how to give big, open mouthed kisses!
  • Barfed in my mouth this week when she was leaning in to give me said open mouthed kiss!
  • Does this cute little scrunchy nose thing and breathes in and out really fast when she's excited or frustrated (sometimes accompanied by arms flapping)
  • Will stand holding on to things if placed there
  • LOVES baby dolls and gives them lots of excited hugs and kisses!
  • Has started defending herself against Chloe (ex. when Chloe takes her toys away, she'll start yelling and swinging her arms until she gets it back)
  • Still wears size four diapers
  • Wears size 18-24 months
  • Still puts everything in her mouth but will pull it out and hand it to me if she gets in trouble
  • Shakes her head no if she doesn't want something (like more food)
  • Is a dive bomber....today I felt like I was in a wrestling match all during church.  She'll throw all of her weight until she's side ways and will try to get to the ground, then you flip her back up and she'll do it all over again.  She's crazy!
  • Hates being thrown up in the sky
  • This is probably only her second time in a baby swing (bad mom award), because she's always hated being moved fast...she wasn't sure at first, but she got excited when I got excited and decided she like it...as long as nothing moved to suddenly...
  • Will only go to sleep in a bed with a blanket.  She's not picky, it can even be a jacket, as long as she can snuggle it to her face.  She has only fallen asleep on me once in her life and that was after I'd had to pass her around all day long while I was in charge of our reunion.
  • She's getting four more teeth on top!  I think a couple of them have broken the surface, but the rest are just hanging out up there, though they're totally visible.
  • Says Mom and know that she's referring to me (atleast it seems that way...).  She babbles and speaks her own language all the time.  You can tell that she's trying to form words because some of them sound like things that we're around or doing.  Super cute.
  • Gets SUPER excited about animals.  If you're holding her she'll flail her arms and kick her legs and start squirming and screaming until you let her touch them.  And then she freaks out the animals and they run away and the process starts all over again.  She's a very excitable girl and wears her emotions on her sleeve (like Mama).
We love this sweet, fun,  animated girl!  She keeps life fun!
