Before Ronnie and I were married, this insane tv series called LOST aired on ABC and my family and I followed it pretty closely...then I met Ronnie and well, kind of ignored everything else in my life until after the wedding and then some! Ronnie and I were over at my parents house a couple of weeks ago and they were watching none other than LOST and we both got hooked!
If you've ever watched LOST and you hadn't been following it, that is quite literally what you were, totally lost because the story/plot line is so unbelievably complex and involved, so the only thing to do is either forget you ever watched it or go and rent all of the seasons and start catching up; Ronnie and I did the latter.
So we spent Friday night with Schmeck and watched about 7 episodes into the wee morning hours with a pan of brownies and a bag of swedish fish by our side (which, may I submit, was not the brightest idea when I had school the next morning...). Then Saturday night Ronnie and I told ourselves that we would only watch 1 episode, but ended up watching about another 7...gulp...we are such couch potatoes... Anyhow, we only have two episodes left in last season and then we'll be all caught up and ready for the next one on Wednesday! Woot!
If you haven't seen LOST, my advice would be not to start so that you wont get crazy addicted like we did...it's not worth it man...or is it??? DUN DUN DUN!

They popped out of the snow...like daisies!
Well, you guessed it...the title has absolutely nothing to do with this post (okay, maybe you didn't guess it, but whatever)! I woke up early and made waffles, FROM SCRATCH, on a Tuesday (which is a weekday) morning! Why is this to be celebrated??? Because in my family, we ate cereal on weekdays and hot breakfast on Sunday, but in Ronnie's family they did just the opposite...so we usually go with the Rimmasch breakfast, but I decided to live life on the edge...atleast for one morning. I got the recipe off of allrecipes.com (which if you haven't tried it, is the best recipe site I have found), but I tweaked it a little. The title comes from my all time favorite movie Mulan...just thought I'd throw that out there so it didn't wake you up in the night...

Get a Job You Slob
Merry (Late...) Christmas!
Ronnie and his hard drive!!! I love my geek boy!
Ronnie's surprise present for me! He took the picture, edited it, and made the frame! It was most definitely my favorite gift of the day! Thanks honey!
Our special Christmas hats!
And finally our marshmallow war! Ronnie's brother Tim and his Dad made marshmallow shooters for everyone! It was totally wicked! Definitely a new Christmas tradition-everyone had SO much fun! Christmas was a blast! Thank you to everyone who was so generous and giving to us; you truly helped us to feel the true spirit of Christmas!

Yay for Craftiness!
Here is another sample of my limited craftiness that I am super proud of! I call it an explosion box...but I don't think that's the technical term for it...Anywho, special thanks to my sil Cami and mi Madre for helping me out :D I made it for my mother in law Bonnie and am glad to report that she loved it! It was a lot of fun to make and pretty simple too! Yay for crafts!
Jiao Zi
Here is our new New Year's Eve tradition: Jiao Zi (or Chinese dumplings)! Ronnie went to Montreal, Canada, Chinese speaking on his mission and became a master of the art of dumplings while he was there! We made the skins (the outside) and the filling (pork and various seasonings n stuff) from scratch! We had so much fun and were so glad that we had a REAL Asian, our very own Ahyoung, with us to make them! Even though she's from Korea, they have very similar dumplings there, so she was able to teach us a lot!

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year one and all! Welcome to 2009! Ronnie and I have had a lot of changes lately and are looking forward to a very new year! We a) Lost our managing job so we b) Moved from Green Valley to technically but not quite Hurricane, which caused us to c) Have to change wards...we are no longer in a family ward, but in a married ward and d) Need to find new jobs! Whew! We are loving our new townhome and ward...really, we just love life and know it will all work out if we continue to turn to the Lord! Well, in the spirit of the New Year, here are some of my New Years resolutions! Yay!
-Be in bed by 10 and wake up by 7 on weekdays
-Eat all things in moderation (I'm working on kicking a candy habit...)
-Be 10 minutes early to anywhere I need to be
-Shave my legs atleast every three days
-Print pictures regularly and put them in an album immediately
Yee haw! I'll keep you updated! The picture above is of our little New Years Eve celebration at good ol' Temple View RV Park! Why at an rv park you ask? Because my friend Callie has worked there since high school and our friends were "on call" so they couldn't leave. Haha, kinda funny :) Anywho, we played card games, enjoyed yummy food, and had a sparkling cider toast and kiss (just between Ronnie and me, COME ON!)!
